Guidelines for Silent Alchemy participants

Welcome to The Silent Alchemy. This is a space of radical inner confrontation. A process that strips away the known, the false, and the constructed self. Before you begin, please read the following terms and conditions with awareness. Your participation signifies your complete understanding and agreement with the spirit and structure of this process.

⸻

1. Nature of the Process

    •    Silent Alchemy is not therapy or healing in the conventional sense. It is an intense inner journey involving radical undoing, brutal reflection, and dissolution of identity constructs.

    •    The process uses a carefully held space rooted in breathwork, movement, catharsis, silence, and inquiry.

    •    While challenging, these techniques are based on years of lived experience and deep inner work. They are not harmful but can evoke strong emotional and physical responses.

    •    The facilitators hold the space with care, but each participant bears full responsibility for how they engage with the process.

⸻

2. Responsibility for Self

    •    You alone are responsible for your physical, emotional, and psychological well-being throughout the process.

    •    Urvi Earth Centre, its facilitators, and hosts cannot be held liable for any distress, injury, or consequence that may arise during or after the process.

    •    If you have any pre-existing medical, mental health, or trauma-related conditions, you are encouraged to consult with the organisers prior to joining. While the process is not therapeutic in nature and does not involve any technique that can cause harm, we ask this to ensure mutual clarity and readiness. Ultimately, each participant is expected to take full responsibility for their decision to participate and for their experience throughout the process.

⸻

3. Respecting the Space & Others

    •    This is an inward-facing, deeply personal process. Participants are expected to maintain silence for at least the first three days to allow deeper reflection and inner movement.

    •    Each participant is walking their own edge. Respect the space, boundaries, and emotional privacy of others.

    •    Emotional expression is welcome during guided sessions, but participants must remain mindful and grounded in shared spaces.

⸻

4. Substances & Conduct

    •    The use or possession of alcohol, cigarettes, or any intoxicating substances is strictly prohibited during the process.

    •    These substances interfere with the depth and clarity of the work.

    •    Any participant found carrying or consuming such substances will be immediately removed from the program and premises. No refunds will be issued.

⸻

5. Confidentiality & Integrity

    •    All that is shared or witnessed during the process—by participants or facilitators—is to remain strictly confidential.

    •    You are expected to hold the space with integrity, responsibility, and presence.

    •    Any form of abuse, harassment, or inappropriate behavior will result in immediate removal from the process, with no refund.

⸻

6. Physical & Emotional Preparedness

    •    The process may include breathwork, cathartic release, physical movement, and time in natural terrain.

    •    You must gauge your physical capability before joining, especially if you have injuries, medical conditions, or limitations.

    •    If at any point you experience distress beyond what you can hold, you are encouraged to communicate with the facilitators.

⸻

7. Financial Terms

    •    The program fee is ₹12,500, which includes food and stay for 7 days.

    •    Fees are non-refundable after registration, except in the case of verified medical emergencies (subject to review).

    •    No refund will be given if a participant chooses to leave the process midway for any reason.

Community Guidelines for All Guests at Urvi

Applies to all residents, visitors, volunteers, and program participants during their stay.

⸻

1. About Urvi

Urvi is a self-sufficient spiritual community dedicated to exploring human consciousness and ego. Founded on the principles of love and free will, Urvi aims to create a space for physical, psychological, and spiritual transformation through meditation, communal living, silence, and simple work.

Urvi is not a retreat, resort, or tourist campsite. Alcohol, smoking, drugs, and loud music are strictly prohibited.

⸻

2. Integration into Urvi’s Lifestyle

    •    All guests, including program participants, are regarded as temporary members of the community, not customers or clients.

    •    While you’re free to spend time with yourself, attendance is required at:

    •    Meal Gatherings (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner)

    •    Daily Circle (A short communal gathering)

    •    Community Work (Up to 2 hours/day: farming, cleaning, cooking, or maintenance)

⸻

3. Respecting Urvi’s Guidelines

    •    Maintain silence or speak softly to support the meditative environment.

    •    Minimal phone usage is encouraged to preserve inner and outer stillness.

    •    Join daily activities as needed when community members require support.

    •    Consider contributing to Urvi’s gift economy with useful items (books, solar lamps, utensils, seeds, etc.).

⸻

4. Food, Stay & Essentials

    •    Accommodation is in shared tents with bedding and two blankets per person.

    •    The campus runs on solar power—use electricity conservatively.

    •    Vegetarian meals are served; eggs are provided occasionally. Notify us in advance of any food allergies.

⸻

5. Environmental Responsibility

    •    Bring biodegradable products (soaps, shampoos, detergents).

    •    Avoid bringing plastic; take back any non-biodegradable waste you generate.

⸻

6. Health & Safety

    •    Urvi is a remote forest valley with limited access to emergency medical care. You are fully responsible for your own health.

    •    Be mindful of Raja, our Belgian Malinois—stay calm around him.

    •    Children are not recommended due to the terrain and nature of the space.

    •    During rains, leeches may be present. Use salt or sanitizer as repellent and do not panic if bitten.

⸻

7. Travel & Arrival

    •    Urvi is accessible only by foot—a 1.5 km forest trek from the nearest road.

    •    Arrive before 3 PM. Late arrival can be unsafe and unmanageable.

    •    Plan ahead, especially during holiday traffic near Munnar/Vattavada.

⸻

8. Prohibited Substances & Behavior

    •    No alcohol, no smoking, no substances, no loud sound.

    •    Any violation will result in immediate removal without exception.
