"One who believes they have conquered their ego, is a fool of the first order."

It's a play of contradictions. The moment ego subsides, it becomes aware of its own descend , causing the ego to inflate in the victory of that recognition. However, as the ego expands, it acknowledges its own inflation, now triggering a renewed effort to subside. A cycle that never stops.

A paradoxical cycle of inflation and subsidence. In essence, you can never conquer it, but just observe it in silence.
